Residential Questions
More detail on our Residential page.
Do you provide free quotes?
Yes. We provide free, no-obligation consultations and quotes for all residential electrical, solar, battery and EV charging projects. We'll assess your home, discuss your needs and recommend the best solution for your budget.
Do you use your own electricians or subcontractors?
Every installation is completed by our own licensed, in-house electricians. Our sales team and our installation crews are all in-house, so the people who quote your job work alongside the people who install it.
Are you licensed and accredited?
Yes. Our electricians are fully licensed and insured, and our solar installations are completed by accredited installers, ensuring your system meets all Australian standards.
How long will my installation take?
Most residential installations are completed within a day. Larger solar, battery or electrical projects may take longer depending on the size and complexity of the work. We'll provide an expected timeframe before work begins.
Do you service my area?
We proudly service homes across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas. If you're unsure whether we cover your location, simply get in touch.
What warranties do you provide?
All products we install are backed by the manufacturer's warranty, and we also provide a 10-year workmanship warranty on our installations for added peace of mind.
Commercial Questions
More detail on our Commercial page.
Will installation disrupt our trading hours?
We plan commercial installations around your operations. Where a shutdown is unavoidable we schedule it outside trading hours or during your quietest window, and we agree that plan with you before work starts.
What size systems do you install?
From small business rooftops through to large commercial and industrial facilities. Every system is sized against your actual consumption data rather than a standard package.
Can you help with commercial rebates and incentives?
Yes. Eligible commercial systems can access STC or LGC incentives depending on system size. We'll set out what your project qualifies for as part of your quote.
Do you work with body corporates and strata?
Yes. Body corporate, strata, schools, retail, warehousing and industrial facilities are all regular work for us. We can present to committees and provide the documentation approvals require.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Yes. We provide monitoring, preventative maintenance, warranty support and system expansions for the commercial systems we install.
Do you service existing commercial solar systems?
Yes. We provide maintenance, fault finding, repairs, inverter replacements, system upgrades and performance inspections for existing commercial solar systems, even if we didn't install them.
Insurance Work Questions
More detail on our Insurance Work page.
Do you work directly with insurance companies?
Yes. We regularly work with insurance companies to complete approved electrical, solar and battery repairs and replacements. We can also assist with the documentation required throughout the claims process.
Can you replace my solar system with the same products?
Where possible, we will replace your system with the same or an equivalent approved product if the original equipment is no longer available. Any replacement products will be discussed with you before installation.
Can you inspect my system for insurance damage?
Yes. We can inspect damaged electrical, solar and battery systems, identify any faults and provide detailed reports, photos and quotations to support your insurance claim if required.
What types of insurance repairs do you carry out?
We repair and replace electrical systems, solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, EV chargers and associated equipment damaged by storms, hail, fire, flooding, impact or other insured events.
How long does the insurance repair process take?
Timeframes vary depending on claim approval, product availability and scheduling. Once your insurer has approved the works, we'll keep you informed throughout the process and complete the repairs as efficiently as possible.
Do I need to organise the repairs myself?
Not necessarily. Depending on your insurer, you may be referred directly to us, or you can request Envision Energised as your preferred contractor. We'll work with you and your insurer to make the repair process as smooth as possible.
Solar Questions
More detail on our Solar page.
Is solar worth it?
For most homes and businesses, yes. Solar can significantly reduce your electricity bills while increasing energy independence and adding long-term value to the property.
What rebates are available?
Eligible systems can access federal STC incentives, which we apply as an upfront discount so you don't have to claim anything yourself. We'll confirm exactly what your system qualifies for in your quote.
How long does a solar installation take?
Most residential solar installations are completed in a single day. Larger or more complex systems may take longer. We'll confirm the expected installation timeframe before work begins.
Is my roof suitable for solar?
Most homes are suitable for solar. During your consultation, we'll assess your roof's size, orientation, shading and condition to recommend the best system for your property. If solar isn't the right fit, we'll tell you honestly.
How much can I save with solar?
Every home is different, but most homeowners can significantly reduce their electricity bills by generating their own power. Your savings depend on your energy usage, system size, roof orientation and electricity retailer. We provide a tailored savings estimate with every quote.
Do you handle approvals and grid connection?
Yes. We manage the entire process, including network applications, approvals, meter requirements and system commissioning, making your solar installation as simple and hassle-free as possible.
Do you offer finance options?
Yes. We offer flexible finance options through trusted providers including Brighte and 28Watt. During your initial consultation, we'll help you find the finance solution that best suits your budget and individual circumstances.
Can you upgrade or repair an existing system?
Yes. We can inspect, repair, upgrade or expand many existing electrical and solar systems, including replacing faulty components, adding batteries or installing additional solar panels where suitable.
Battery Storage Questions
More detail on our Battery Storage page.
Why install a solar battery?
A battery stores the excess electricity your panels generate during the day, so you can use your own energy at night or through peak pricing instead of buying it back from the grid.
Will a battery provide backup power during a blackout?
Yes, it can. Many battery systems offer backup power capability, but the level of backup depends on the battery, the inverter and whether a backup circuit or whole-home backup has been installed.
How much battery storage do I need?
The right battery size depends on your daily energy usage, solar system size, electricity tariff and what you want to power during the evening or during a blackout. We'll design a system that suits your home and energy goals.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?
Yes. In most cases, a battery can be added to an existing solar system. We'll assess your current solar panels, inverter and electrical setup to determine the most suitable battery solution, whether that's an AC-coupled or hybrid battery system.
Do you offer finance options?
Yes. We offer flexible finance options through trusted providers, including Brighte and 28Watt. During your consultation, we'll discuss your requirements and help find the finance option that best suits your budget.
How long do home batteries last?
Most quality home batteries are designed to last 10 years or more and are backed by manufacturer warranties. The exact lifespan depends on the battery brand, usage and operating conditions.
Are there rebates for home batteries?
Yes. Eligible homeowners and businesses may qualify for the Australian Government's Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which provides an upfront discount on eligible battery systems. We can help determine your eligibility and apply the available rebate as part of your quote.
Can I expand my battery later?
Yes. Many modern home battery systems are modular, allowing additional battery capacity to be added as your energy needs grow. Whether you're planning for an EV, air conditioning or increased household usage, we'll recommend a battery system that offers the flexibility to expand in the future where possible.
EV Charging Questions
More detail on our EV Charging page.
How much faster is a dedicated charger than a power point?
Considerably. A standard 10A power point trickles in roughly 10–15km of range per hour, while a typical 7kW home charger adds around 40km per hour, and three-phase units more again. Actual speed depends on your vehicle's onboard charger.
Do I need a switchboard upgrade?
Sometimes. It depends on your existing switchboard, available capacity and whether your supply is single or three-phase. We check this during the assessment and include any required upgrade in the quote rather than adding it later.
Can I charge my EV from my solar?
Yes. Smart chargers can be set to draw only surplus solar, so you charge on your own generation instead of exporting it. If you have a battery as well, we can configure how the two work together.
Can the charger be installed outside?
Yes, most home chargers are rated for outdoor installation. We'll advise on the best location for cable reach, weather protection and how you actually park.
Do you install chargers for businesses and fleets?
Yes. We install staff, fleet, visitor and multi-bay charging, including load management so multiple chargers share the available supply without overloading your site.
Will the charger work with my next car?
Australian EVs use the Type 2 standard, so a quality charger will suit current and future vehicles. We recommend units that won't need replacing when you change cars.
Electrical Services Questions
More detail on our Electrical Services page.
Do you do small jobs, or only big installations?
Both. A single power point, a ceiling fan or a smoke alarm gets the same licensed electrician and the same standard of work as a full switchboard upgrade.
How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?
Common signs are ceramic fuses instead of circuit breakers, no safety switches (RCDs), breakers that trip regularly, or not enough capacity for what you want to add, like an EV charger, air conditioner or solar. We can assess it and tell you where you stand.
Do you install air conditioning?
Yes, we supply, install and replace split-system air conditioners, including the electrical work and circuits they need.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Envision Energised holds QLD Electrical Contractor Licence 91381, and all work is completed to Australian Standards.
Do you provide fixed-price quotes?
Yes. For defined scopes of work we quote a fixed price up front so you know what the job costs before we start.
What areas do you service?
We work across South East Queensland, including the Gold Coast, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.
